ESFA Adult Education Budget Re-procurement Prior Information Notice Published

The Education and Skills Funding Agency (ESFA) have published the Prior Information Notice (PIN) for the forthcoming re-procurement of Adult Education Budget delivery from 1 August 2021. The procurement will open in ‘early 2021’ and will fund the following provision in non-devolved areas:

  • Statutory entitlements including first full Level 2 and Level 3 qualifications for learners aged 19-23, English and Maths and digital skills for learners aged 19 and over
  • Flexible tailored provision for adults, including qualifications and components of these and/or non-regulated learning, up to level 2, including provision delivered to unemployed learners through a sector-based work academy programme (SWAP)
  • Level 3 adult offer
  • Support funding including learning and learner support

It is likely that the value of the procurement will be in the region of £80m.

The ESFA are holding two virtual provider events on 13 January and 14 January.

Further information about the procurement will be communicated via Contracts Finder and ESFA Update.

January is shaping up to be very busy on the tender front with both the Sheffield City Region and the West Yorkshire Combined Authority currently procuring their devolved AEB provision, also for delivery from 1 August 2021.

As a result, I am currently fully committed and do not have capacity to support further providers at this point, however don’t hesitate to get in touch if you want to find out more about the procurement process and how Ansible Education Consulting can support you in general.
