Greater London Authority Prior Information Notice for Adult Education Services procurement in London

The Prior Information Notice (PIN) has been published today for the forthcoming bidding round to procure devolved Adult Education Budget provision in London delivered from 1 August 2019.

The indicative value to be procured via the Greater London Authority (GLA) is £130 million, per year out of an annual delegated budget of £311 million.

Contracts to deliver will be split into two Lots targeting different priority groups: people out of work and people in work. Each Lot will have different eligibility criteria and corresponding outputs and results. Applicants will be able to bid for one or both Lots.

The GLA envisage that the contract notice will be published on 22 October 2018, with contracts awarded around April 2019 prior to delivery commencing in August.

The PIN also notes that the GLA will use the delegated AEB as match funding for European Social Fund which will be procured via a separate process. Further information on what will be tendered can be found here.

More information on AEB being devolved to the Mayor of London can be found here, whilst the PIN can be read in full here.
