The Sheffield City Region (SCR) Combined Authority has announced that procurement of its devolved Adult Education Budget (AEB) Framework Agreement totalling around £33m over three years will be launched on 14 December.
AEB devolution will enable the SCR to bring a more strategic regional approach to delivery that is focused on meeting the needs of residents and businesses across the City Region (Barnsley, Doncaster, Rotherham and Sheffield) and will comprise three lots.
Lot 1: Supporting Residents into Employment
Lot 2: Provision for adults in employment (self-employed) or at risk of redundancy
Lot 3: No young person left behind
Lot 4: Test and Learn Adult Key Worker Model
Individual Call-Off Contracts will be awarded for 12 months from 1 August 2021, with the option to extend for up to a further 2 years.
Further details about the City Region’s priorities for devolved AEB as well as the procurement process itself can be found on the SCR’s website.
Once the procurement is launched, tenders will have to be submitted via the YORtender tendering portal by midday on 28 January 2021.
