West Midlands Combined Authority Adult Education Budget Tender Launched

The West Midlands Combined Authority (WMCA) have launched the tender to procure devolved Adult Education Budget (AEB) delivery from 1 August 2019.

The total estimated annual value of the procurement exercise is up to £28m, split into three lots:

  • Lot 1 support for the unemployed (£11.5m): general AEB qualifications also focussed on tackling unemployment especially but not exclusively amongst young people;
  • Lot 2 – support for those in employment (£11.5m): AEB qualifications delivered flexibly so those working can access them outside of work; and
  • Lot 3 – Innovative delivery (£5m): innovative project and pilot-based approaches to respond to needs within the seven WMCA local authority areas which are also consistent with the overall ambitions of the WMCA’s adult offer and Regional Skills Plan (RSP).

Tenders have to be submitted via the WMCA Bravo website by midday on 6 March 2019.
